A church can be filled with loving people but it is the self-righteous few that attack the vulnerable.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The reputation of the whole church congregation is harmed by these few outliers. That is sadly true of individual churches as well as whole denominations. As a born-again believer, one has two choices. We can choose to isolate ourselves from active fellowship with others and passively read our Bibles and listen to online sermons. Or, we can accept the reality that “church” is no better than the Christians that fill the pews every Sunday, each holding their own biases and sinful behaviors. To abdicate the church because it is full of sinners is to turn away from God’s clear message of its importance ( Matt. 16:18, Acts 20:28, Eph. 2:20-22, Matt. 18:20, 1 Cor. 3:17, Heb. 10:25, Col. 1:18, 1 Tim. 3:15… to name a few verses). The more we turn away from the church as a place of fellowship, doctrine, and accountability, the more the outliers take over and undermine it.
