Daily Headlines on contemporary issues that impact a Biblical Christian worldview.

“Abortion and Miscarriage: The Emptiness of Lies and the Fullness of Life”…

“When speaking of chemical abortion, Linda Prine, who counsels women who self-manage their abortion with the use of mifepristone and misoprostol, told Vox, “[W]e get calls from people completely freaked out, crying, sobbing …” She continued, “They’re calling us scared, because they’ve passed a tiny but recognizable fetus, and they are freaked out and they weren’t expecting that. And it’s frankly traumatizing …”

It is traumatizing. A mother who takes chemical abortion drugs becomes her own abortionist. She ingests the pills, she determines whether she is hemorrhaging, and she disposes of the undeniably human body of her unborn child — a person the abortion industry told her was just a clump of cells.”

“School district forced to pay over 100K in legal fees after banning moms from exposing pornographic materials”…

Forsyth County School District [FSC] agreed to pay attorney’s fees in a federal lawsuit brought by a group of parents who were censored at school board meetings.

The group, called the Mama Bears, claimed in the federal lawsuit that their First Amendment rights were violated and won the case due to the legal representation of the Institute for Free Speech.

The Mama Bears settled a federal lawsuit against the Georgia school district after one of the group’s members was barred from reading sexually explicit excerpts at school board meetings. FCS will pay the Mama Bears nominal damages of $17.91 and their attorneys $107,500.”

“China ramping up persecution of Christians as it demands ‘worship and allegiance’ of Xi Jinping: watchdog”…

“The Chinese Communist Party escalated its persecution of Christians throughout 2022 as the country clamped down on churches and online religious content while demanding allegiance to Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to a watchdog group.

report released last week by the U.S.-based non-governmental organization ChinaAid warned that the Chinese government is using charges of “fraud” to financially suffocate the house church movement, which consists of Christian congregations that have not registered with China’s official Protestant church.

Authorities are using the traditional Christian practice of giving tithes and offerings to trump up charges against house churches under the “Measures for the Financial Management of Religious Activity Venues,” which were updated last June, according to the report. The report noted that multiple house church pastors and elders have been jailed and potentially face years in prison.”

“Anne Graham Lotz wonders if Asbury revival sparked ‘last great awakening’ before Christ’s return”…

“Is the revival that broke out at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, with continual worship and prayer on campus for weeks that spread to other campuses, a sign of Jesus’ return? That is the question pondered by the daughter of legendary evangelist Billy Graham.

In a recent blog post on her website, evangelist and author Anne Graham Lotz asked if the Asbury revival, which has moved to new sites and inspired similar gatherings on other college campuses across the country, could be the “Last Great Awakening” before the Second Coming.”

“LGBT identification doubled in past decade, including nearly 20% of Gen Z: Gallup”…

“The share of the American population identifying as LGBT has doubled over the past decade as Generation Z is more likely than older Americans to identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or something “other” than heterosexual in new Gallup data.

A new survey released last Wednesday examines Americans’ self-identification with the LGBT community based on responses from more than 10,700 adults in the United States collected in 2022. The overall margin of sampling error is ±1 percentage points. The sampling error among the 584 LGBT adult respondents is ±5 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.

The share of Americans who identify as LGBT reached a record of 7.2% in 2022 after hitting 7.1% in 2021, up from 5.6% in 2020 and 3.5% in 2012, the year Gallup began collecting data on LGBT identification.”

“White House gives agencies 30 days to impose federal device TikTok ban”…

“The White House on Monday ordered government agencies to rid their devices of the Chinese-owned app TikTok within 30 days in an effort to prevent China’s communist government from spying on the US.

The directive from Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young, first reported by Reuters, comes after congressional legislation passed in December banned the popular video-sharing app from federal government devices and systems, amid concerns TikTok’s parent company ByteDance could allow the Chinese Communist Party access to user data. “

“‘This Is a Revival Season’ — Sean Feucht Announces ‘7 Days of Prayer’ on Capitol Hill”…

“Through his ministry Hold The Line, Sean Feucht is launching a “7 Days of Worship and Prayer” revival initiative, which will take place on Capitol Hill starting on March 2 and will culminate on March 9 with a livestreamed worship service from inside the U.S. Capitol building.

In a video published on Tuesday (Feb. 28), Feucht said that “revival in America is no longer wishful thinking. It is now becoming our reality. As the early rumblings of awakening are being felt across the nation, we are gathering on Thursday March 9 in the ceremonial heart of the nation, the U.S. Capitol rotunda, for a strategic time of worship and prayer.””
