“Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders signs into law restrictions on ‘adult’ performances”…

“Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee-Sanders signed in a new law adding restrictions on “adult-orientated performances” in a bill that originally took aim to reclassify drag shows to be in the same category as adult strip clubs and theaters. The conservative lawmaker first targeted drag shows, but she received pushback from the LGBTQ community.

Senate Bill 43 signed by the Republican governor defined “adult-oriented performances” as a performance that features nudity or seminudity, real or simulated sexual activities and be intended to appeal to “prurient” interests, a term that’s not defined in the legislation.”

“How Pedophiles Are Using Artificial Intelligence to Exploit Kids”…

“Artificial intelligence (more commonly known as “AI”) has gained attention and popularity in recent months, particularly since the launch of the ChatGPT chatbot from OpenAI, which captivated the internet with both its impressive abilities and surprising limitations. The millions of AI users in the U.S. are mostly eager to cheat on their homework or escape writing work emails; however, some bad actors have also discovered how to employ AI technology to attain far more nefarious ends.

Britain’s National Crime Agency is conducting a review of how AI technology can contribute to sexual exploitation after the recent arrest of a pedophile computer programmer in Spain shocked the continent. The man had been found to be utilizing an AI image generator to create new child sexual abuse material (CSAM) based on abusive images of children that he already possessed. The Daily Mail noted that the “depravity of the pictures he created appalled even the most experienced detectives …”

“Christian college asks Supreme Court to stop Biden’s trans dorm directive”…

“A Christian college in Missouri is asking the United States Supreme Court to halt a Biden administration directive that requires schools to allow male students to be housed in women-only dormitories or use the girls’ showers.

College of the Ozarks filed a petition for a writ of certiorari on Monday asking the high court to block a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development directive forcing the academic institution to open up gender-specific campus dorms to those of the opposite sex.

“The Directive requires the College to reverse its housing policies for 1,300 students,” read the petition, in part. “And, unless the Directive is enjoined, it makes the College cease statements of its policies, preventing it from following through on ongoing plans and communications for student housing consistent with its religious beliefs.”

“Tickets for SatanCon 2023, ‘The Largest Satanic Gathering in History,’ Sell Out”…

“The demand for gatherings catered to satanists is apparently high. SatanCon 2023, a convention organized by The Satanic Temple (TST) and billed as “the largest satanic gathering in history,” has sold out of tickets.

The convention is set to be held in Boston on April 28-30, and its theme will be “Hexennacht in Boston.” Hexennacht is one of the five religious holidays TST celebrates, a German feast that takes place every April and commemorates the canonization of Saint Walpurga.

TST has promised that SatanCon will be a “weekend of blasphemy and remembrance,” and it will feature lectures, panels, live entertainment, and a “Satanic Marketplace.”

“Suspected schoolgirl poisoning attacks rattle a shaken Iran”…

“DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Over the past three months, hundreds of young girls attending different schools in Iran have become overpowered by what are believed to be noxious fumes wafting into their classrooms, with some ending up weakened on hospital beds.

Officials in Iran’s theocracy initially dismissed these incidents, but now describe them as intentional attacks involving some 30 schools identified in local media reports, with some speculating they could be aimed at trying to close schools for girls in this country of over 80 million people.

The reported attacks come at a sensitive time for Iran, which already has faced months of protests after the September death of Mahsa Amini following her arrest by the country’s morality police.”

“How Can the Church Pastor the Next Generation When Sunday School Is Suspended?”…

“In recent years, with the changes in religious policies, the “no entry to religious places for minors” regulation has been strictly enforced across the country, and the “Sunday school” that was once in full swing in various places has long disappeared from the church system. However, regardless of the changes in the outside world, the question of “How can Christians pass on their faith to the next generation?” “How can we do a good job of pastoral support and follow-up for the ‘second generation of believers?” is still a real topic that believers, pastors, and even grassroots churches can hardly avoid talking about.

However, it is encouraging to note that even in such a restrictive environment, some pastors in the system are still looking for a way forward in youth ministry despite the unfavorable policy and are actively exploring new ideas for pastoral care.”

“Trans athlete wins lawsuit to compete in USA Powerlifting events”…

“Transgender powerlifter JayCee Cooper has won her discrimination lawsuit against USA Powerlifting (USAPL), a competitive federation that had banned her and other trans people from competing.

Cooper sued USAPL in January 2021, saying that its policy violates Minnesota’s Human Rights Act, a law that explicitly forbids transgender-based discrimination.”
