“Experimental Google AI ‘Bard’ talks faith in the first person, says ‘Christianity gives me hope'”…

“If you are interested in learning more about the Christian faith, I would be happy to provide you with some resources. However, I cannot tell you whether or not you should believe that Jesus is God. That is a decision that you will have to make for yourself.”

Despite previously claiming not to have the ability to believe or disbelieve, moments later, Bard appeared to suggest it possesses something resembling subjective faith and spoke of itself in the first person in response to a prompt phrased simply as “math or Christianity,” saying they were both “important to me.”

“Supreme Court allows abortion pill to remain available nationwide”…

“The abortion drug mifepristone will remain available nationwide after the Supreme Court stayed a Texas federal judge’s ruling striking down the FDA’s two-decade-old approval of the medication.

The high court had until 11:59 p.m. Friday to decide whether to keep the ruling by US District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in place while challenges to the drug made their way through the lower courts. “

“Christian prayer warriors ‘called’ into Boston with plan to counter SatanCon”…

“A group of Christians plans to attend SatanCon in Boston this week to pray for the attendees of what is being described as “the largest satanic gathering in history.”

“I initially went to prayer with a preconceived idea that God would want this to be prayed away,” Intercessors for America regional leader Suzie MacAskill told the Christian Post. “It was following this assumption that I was awakened through the night with a clear sense of ‘This is [God’s] harvest field.'”

SatanCon 2023, which is scheduled to take place April 28-30 in Boston, marks the 10-year anniversary of The Satanic Temple, according to its website. The theme of the gathering is “Hexennacht in Boston,” translated from German for “Witches’ Night,” which marks the ancient pagan holiday of May Eve.”

“Should Christians use social media? Chris Martin discusses “The Wolf in Their Pockets””…

“Social media can divide family and friends, pit citizens against citizens, and steal our time against our better judgment. All of society must grapple with this new, emerging technology.

But we must also ask specifically how Christians should handle social media. Should we discard it altogether? Put strict limits on it? Or should we maintain relevance by being active on the platforms to extend our reach?”

“Texas Senate approves putting Ten Commandments in public schools”…

“The Texas Senate has approved a measure to display the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms.

After the upper chamber advanced the plan in a Thursday party line, 17-12 vote, it now heads to the state House for consideration, The Hill reported.

The Ten Commandments are a series of dictates said to have been revealed to the prophet Moses while at the top of Mount Sinai in modern Egypt. Many Christian and Jewish schools of thought view them as foundational to moral law.”

“Dem Bill Would Make LGBT Illegal Immigrants Immune From Detention”…

“The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act, sponsored by dozens of Democrats including Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D., Wash.) and Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.), wouldset a norm that “vulnerable” migrants “may not be detained,” Fox News reported. Vulnerable groups, according to the bill, include migrants who identify as “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex,” don’t speak English, or have experienced “severe trauma.”

“This is a measure that will go a long way to restore humanity and dignity to the immigration system.” Jayapal said of the legislation.

The proposal comes as illegal immigration surges on the southern border. Border Patrol agents reported 162,317 migrant encounters in March, an increase of 32,000 migrants from February. Eleven of the migrants had names matching ones on the terror watch list, the Washington Times reported.”
