Daily Headlines on contemporary issues that impact a Biblical Christian worldview.
“AOC criticizes Christian Super Bowl ads, says Jesus would not fund commercials to ‘make fascism look benign”…
“The Christian group He Gets Us reportedly spent $20 million on two Super Bowl advertisements that showed Jesus as someone with empathy for immigrants and the poor, who was also tired of the division of politics.
“Something tells me Jesus would *not* spend millions of dollars on Super Bowl ads to make fascism look benign,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in a tweet.”
“Lummis and Gonzalez Are Latest to Be Censured over Same-Sex Marriage Vote”…
“The state Republican Party of Wyoming has formally censured Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), and a GOP chapter in Texas censured Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas), for supporting the so-called “Respect for Marriage” Act(RMA). The legislation, which opponents dubbed the Disrespect for Marriage Act, struck down state and federal laws defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman and paved the way for Christian business owners to be sued if they try to live out their faith in the workplace. President Joe Biden signed the bill during a celebratory event in the nation’s capital last December attended by drag queens, church officials, and Grammy winner Sam Smith.”
“A Massive Cry for Help: Teen Girls Wrestle With Record Levels of Sadness and Depression. Why?”…
“Very interesting, very troubling report out. Headlines just about all across the mainstream media. The headline in The New York Times yesterday was this, “Teen Girls Report Record Levels of Sadness.” Similar headlines, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, you go down the list, almost every major newspaper, almost every major news site has an article with a similar headline. And all this is traceable back to data released on Monday of this week by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the United States government. And one of the things we need to note is that numbers are attached here. According to the lead, for example, in The New York Times report, “Nearly three in five teenage girls felt persistent sadness in 2021, double the rate of boys, and one in three girls seriously considered attempting suicide.””
“California to consider putting same-sex marriage in constitution”…
“Pro-LGBT legislators in California on Tuesday introduced a bill to reverse language in the state constitution that says marriage is between one man and one woman. California voters in 2008 approved Proposition 8, but a U.S. District Court decision in 2010 ruled that section of the state constitution violated the U.S. Constitution. Prop. 8 has remained on the books, though inactive, since then. The new legislation seeks to enshrine the “right” to same-sex marriage into the state constitution, as well as repeal Prop. 8.”
“Josh Duggar forced into solitary confinement: It’s “so bad””…
Josh Duggar, a former reality TV star and anti-LGBTQ+ activist who was convicted of possessing child pornography, has reportedly been moved to solitary confinement.
A source told tabloid site Radar Online that Duggar was moved to the solitary housing unit at the Federal Correctional Institution in Seagoville, Texas for being caught with a cell phone.
“A nonstop Kentucky prayer ‘revival’ is going viral on TikTok, and people are traveling thousands of miles to take part”…
“A Christian service at a college chapel in Kentucky has ballooned into a nonstop prayer and worship session that some are calling a “revival” — and people are traveling thousands of miles to take part in it after seeing viral videos on TikTok.
The growing event started as a routine chapel service at Asbury University, a small Christian college in Wilmore, Kentucky, according to university employees. At the tail-end of the meeting, a couple dozen lingering students assembled informally in a gathering that’s been going now for seven days straight, 24 hours a day. “
“Federal Court Rules on Woke Florida Lawsuit – High-Profile Parental Rights Bill Just Got a Major Victory”…
Liberals still like to call it the “don’t say gay” bill, though Republican lawmakers and millions of American parents just think it’s common sense.
It’s the bill in Florida, approved by popular Governor Ron DeSantis, that prohibits the teaching of “sexual orientation” or “gender identity from kindergarten through third grade.”
Even President Joe Biden called it “hateful” in a tweet promoting the LGBTQI+ community, and other Democrat leaders claims Florida is trying to keep kids from “learning.”
