” ‘Uncomfortable’: Students Slam School That Threatened To Punish Those Who Protest Trans Kids In Bathrooms”…

“Nearly 150 students of an Illinois high school lined up to use the nurse’s restroom after being told if they were uncomfortable with the school’s policy that separates bathrooms on the basis of gender identity, then they could use the single-stall unisex bathroom.”

Daily Caller

“Don’t want to shop woke? This might be the place for you.”…

“As corporate America increasingly embraces equity, climate activism and other ideas associated with progressive politics, a growing network of businesses is bucking the trend, promoting constitutional values and offering what its founder described as “high-quality products from people who don’t hate you.”

PublicSq. describes itself as a “marketplace” designed to “join thousands of freedom-loving Americans in shopping quality products, services, and exclusive discounts from values-aligned businesses.”

“Anti-Semitic incidents hit record high in US; over 3,600 documented by rights group in 2022″…

“A leading Jewish advocacy group documented a dramatic increase in anti-Semitic incidents in 2022, recording a 36% increase from the previous year and the highest number of anti-Semitic incidents in one year since it began tracking data in 1979.

The Anti-Defamation League, which tracks anti-Semitic violence or harassment against Jews in the United States, released its annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents last Wednesday. “GOP Rep Slams ‘Unchristian’ GOP Immigration Proposals”…

“Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-Texas) just made life more difficult for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).

Gonzales said he’d oppose a broader deal McCarthy wants to strike with President Joe Biden over federal spending and the debt ceiling if the House votes on immigration restrictions Gonzales considers downright unchristian.

“Elon Musk and 1,000 experts call for 6-month moratorium on AI development”…

“Elon Musk and more than a thousand AI experts and industry executives have written an open letter calling for a six-month pause in developing systems more powerful than OpenAI’s newly launched GPT-4. This AI moratorium has been requested because “powerful AI systems should be developed only once we are confident that their effects will be positive and their risks will be manageable,” according to the letter.

Here’s one example of the need for an AI moratorium in today’s news: as many as three hundred million full-time jobs around the world could be automated in some way by the latest AI, according to Goldman Sachs economists. They estimate that approximately two-thirds of jobs in the US and Europe “are exposed to some degree of AI automation” and up to a quarter of all work could be done by AI completely.”

“New Podcast to Tackle Today’s Critical Issues from a Biblical Worldview”…

“The Washington Stand’s (TWS) new podcast is now available. The podcast, called “Outstanding,” will feature TWS writers and others exploring the news from a biblical worldview. With the aim of having critical conversations on the news of the day and the issues that shape us, the podcast is hosted by Joseph Backholm, Family Research Council’s senior fellow for Biblical Worldview and Strategic Engagement.

Washington Stand editor-in-chief Jared Bridges said, “Christians are instructed in 2 Corinthians 10:5 to ‘take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.’ In today’s media we have an abundance of thoughts speeding at us. At TWS, we wanted a way to help readers take some of these swirling thoughts captive from a biblical worldview. This podcast gives us a format for unpacking some of those big ideas and concepts we’re confronted with in the news every day.””
