“Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.), Chairwoman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, distributed Bibles and invited fellow committee members to read through it in 2023 at the committee’s first meeting on January 31. McMorris Rodgers said the Bible “changed my life” when she read it through for the first time, so she encouraged “everyone to read this book in their lifetime.” “Finally, I wanted to give you a book,” said McMorris Rodgers, and “invite all of us to read through it together in 2023. It’s an all-time best-seller. I read through it for the first time a few years ago, and it changed my life. My encouragement is for everyone to read this book in their lifetime. So, why not now, in 2023?” – Washington Stand

Go Woke, Go Broke: Disney to Axe 7,000 Jobs as Company Faces Backlash Over Left-Wing Agenda“…

“The overhaul follows recent setbacks for Disney last year under former CEO Bob Chapek. The Florida government has attempted to crack down on the family entertainment company’s left-wing agenda, with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R.) threatening to retract Disney’s tax-cut privileges and autonomy as a special district. Disney has faced criticism for its open opposition to the Parental Rights in Education Act, dubbed by Democrats as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which prohibits teachers from discussing sex and gender identity with children younger than the third grade.” – Free Beacon

Super Bowl Christian players Patrick Mahomes and A. J. Brown thank God in success and adversity“…

Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been consistent about giving God the glory for his success, starting his MVP acceptance speech Thursday night with “First, I want to thank God for giving me this platform.”… But it was a different comment that caught my eye recently…. In an interview following the Chief’s win over the Bengals last Sunday, Mahomes began his interview with CBS‘s Tracy Wolfson by stating “First off, I wanna thank God, man. He healed my body this week to battle through that. He gave me the strength to be out there.” – Denison Forum
