“Actress Patti LuPone put her apparent hatred for conservative Christians on full display during a segment on Tuesday’s episode of “The View.”
As the panel discussed the current political climate with regard to the LGTBQ community, LuPone put her acting pants on to express her disgust for the American right.
“I have said this before and I’m going to get in trouble. I’ve said this before and it’s been in print,” she prefaced. “I don’t know what the difference between our Christian right and the Taliban is.”
“I have no idea what the difference is,” she repeated, the malice in her voice palpable.

“Most Americans Say Religious Institutions Are Watering Down, Leaving Core Beliefs”…
“According to a new survey from Rasmussen Reports, many Americans fear that religious institutions are “watering down” or abandoning traditional beliefs.
The survey, which included a national sample of 1,056 American adults, reported that 75 percent said that faith is important to their everyday lives, an increase from 71 percent in 2018.

“Sixty-nine acts of vandalism against churches occurred in the first quarter of the year, constituting a significant increase in the number of attacks compared to previous years.
The Family Research Council, a socially conservative think-tank based in Washington, D.C., released a supplemental report outlining “Hostility Against Churches” in the first quarter of 2023. The data builds on an earlier report published in December, which documented attacks on churches between January 2018 and December 2022.”

“Department of Education (ED) Secretary Miguel Cardona refused to give the definition of a woman when asked during a Tuesday House Appropriations Committee hearing.After discussing whether students should participate in athletics on the basis of biological sex, Republican Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde asked Cardona three times to define what a woman is during the House Appropriations Committee hearing. Cardona never gave a definition and instead spoke about his role at the ED to protect LGBTQ students from discrimination.

“Florida’s preeminent LGBTQ+ rights organization has issued an official travel warning to LGBTQ+ people considering visiting the state.
Equality Florida wrote on Instagram this week that it has invoked this warning “with great sadness” after spending “decades working to improve Florida’s reputation as a welcoming, inclusive place.”

“A new report released Tuesday revealed that in the six months following the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, over 32,000 fewer abortions were carried out in the U.S. compared to the average monthly number that occurred before Dobbs. While pro-life advocates are praising the news as compelling proof that pro-life state laws passed in the wake of Dobbs are saving lives, medical experts are also expressing concern that the decrease in surgical abortions is leading to an increase in dangerous chemical abortions.”

“The Time Pastor Andy Stanley and Charles Stanley Revealed the Rocky Divide in Their Father-Son Story”…
“A lifetime of obedience: that’s how some are describing Dr. Charles Frazier Stanley who received the call to ministry at the age of 14. In his 65 years as a minister of the gospel, he served as a pastor, author, Bible teacher, and Christian broadcaster.
As CBN News reported, the beloved leader of In Touch Ministries passed away Tuesday at the age of 90.
Dr. Charles Stanley led First Baptist Atlanta for 50 of those years, stepping back from that role in 2020, and becoming pastor emeritus. His son, Andy Stanley, is also well known as the founder of the North Point Community Church in Alpharetta, Georgia where he serves as the senior pastor.
