Daily Headlines on contemporary issues that impact a Biblical Christian worldview.
“Christian who escaped Chinese persecution warns US descending into ‘communist style of governance'”…
“The leader of a watchdog group that monitors Christian persecution in China said he’s seeing echoes of the Chinese Communist Party “playbook” in the U.S., and he’s worried it’ll get worse.
Bob Fu, president of the U.S.-based non-governmental Christian nonprofit ChinaAid, said he’s seeing the same tactics in Western nations that the CCP uses to crack down on churches.
“The similarities are very, very striking between the Chinese Communist way of persecution and the American leftist way of restriction and even discrimination,” Fu told Fox News Digital.”
“Most Americans probably haven’t heard the true Gospel”…
“We hear some people say that they are “preaching the Gospel,” when in reality they don’t even seem to know what that term really means.
We all need to know what the gospel is for two very important reasons: 1. We want to make sure that we have heard the true Gospel and have responded to it, lest we have a false hope concerning a salvation we think we have; and 2. Jesus told us to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel” (Mark 16:15, NIV).
Those words aren’t just addressed to pastors, teachers, evangelists, and missionaries; they are addressed to every follower of Jesus Christ! We simply can’t afford to be disengaged or disinterested in this subject. People’s eternal destinies literally hang in the balance.”
“Utah school district considers Bible ban under new ‘sensitive materials’ law”…
“A school district in Utah may ban the Holy Bible after a parent complained that it contained “inappropriate and pornographic” material forced it to face committee review.
On Dec. 11, the David School District received a petition from a parent to have the Bible removed from schools for being what the parent considered a “sex-ridden” book. The petition of the parent requesting review of the Bible was made available on Tuesday with the parent’s name and address withheld. “
“House passes legislation to give parents more say in their kids’ education”…
“The U.S. House of Representatives passed a piece of legislation on Friday aimed at giving parents more of a say in school curriculum and more control in their children’s education.
In a 213 – 208 vote, the House approved the Parents Bill of Rights, which would require school districts to annually post their curriculum online, allowing parents to review the materials. The bill, considered the “Politics over Parents Act” by Democratic politicians, moves to the Democratic-controlled Senate, where it is unlikely to pass.”
“We asked ChatGPT 5 questions about LGBTQ+ issues. This is what it said”…
“What is the gay agenda and why is it important?
The idea of a “gay agenda” is a controversial and often politicized term that is used to describe the perceived goals or objectives of the LGBTQ+ community. It suggests that there is a coordinated effort by gay people to promote their rights and interests, often with the implication that these goals are harmful to society.”
“ADL reports massive increase in antisemitic incidents in 2022″…
“From Neo-Nazi propaganda campaigns to attacks against Orthodox Jews to threats directed at synagogues, the number of antisemitic incidents in the United States saw a dramatic increase in 2022, according to an annual audit published by the Anti-Defamation League.
The ADL counted 3,697 incidents of harassment, vandalism and assault targeting Jews last year — a 36% increase from the 2,717 recorded in 2021 and by far the highest total since the organization began tallying the data in 1979. The incidents include one fatality — the killing in October of Thomas Meixner, a professor at the University of Arizona who was shot allegedly by a student, in part because the student believed Meixner was Jewish. The tally also includes the hostage situation at a Texas synagogue early in 2022.”
“TikTok admits collecting Americans’ precise GPS data — but says it doesn’t anymore”…
“TikTok acknowledged collecting the precise location information of U.S. users despite previously downplaying concerns about how it tracked people’s physical location.
TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew told lawmakers that his China-founded app gathered location information on Americans a few years ago and older versions of the app may still monitor people’s location.”
