Daily Headlines on contemporary issues that impact a Biblical Christian worldview.

“Missionary Sean Feucht insists that Christians should rule nation and write laws”…

“While Christian leaders such as Southern Baptist Convention President Bart Barber have warned against the idea of Christian nationalism, activist missionary Sean Feucht has doubled-down on his support for the movement and insists that Christians should be ruling the nation and writing laws.

“Proverbs says, ‘When the righteous are in rule, the people rejoice.’  We want to see the righteous in rule. Jesus prayed, ‘Let thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’ We want to see God’s will done on Earth as it is in Heaven. We are called to be ‘salt and light’ to this world, and that includes being salt and light to America,” Feucht told The Christian Post while referencing Proverbs 29:2 and other Scripture in response to several questions about the rejection of Christian nationalism by Barber and other Christian leaders.”

“As Religious Faith Continues to Decline, a Faithful Remnant Has Outsized Political Impact”…

“A new study on the worldview of Americans reveals that the number of people who identify with a religious faith is continuing to drop, concurrent with an ongoing decline in a sense of purpose among millennials. At the same time, polling research also shows that political participation among religious conservatives is at an all-time high.

The latest research conducted by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University found that since the start of the COVID pandemic, incidence of a biblical worldview dropped from 6% to 4% among a nationally representative sample of 2,000 adults 18 or older. The study noted that fewer say they are “deeply committed to practicing” their religious faith in 2023 compared to 2020, which was reflected by a 20-percentage point drop “in those who believe they have a unique, God-given calling or purpose for their life,” from 66% of adults before the pandemic to 46% today.”

“In celebration of Lesbian Visibility Week, the cast of The L Word joined out White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to kick off yesterday’s press briefing.

Jean-Pierre was joined at the podium by the show’s co-creator Ilene Chaiken, as well as actresses Jennifer Beals, Katherine Moennig, and Leisha Hailey, who respectively play beloved characters Bette, Shane, and Alice in both the original early 2000s series as well as the 2019 The L Word: Generation Q reboot.”

“Poll: Americans want abortion restrictions, but not as far as red states are going”…

“Americans increasingly see themselves as supportive of the right to have an abortion and disagree with the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision last year overturning the guaranteed right to an abortion in this country, the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll finds.

Most of the almost 1,300 respondents also said they are favor of restrictions, but they are opposed to many of the measures Republicans are pushing in red states.

Abortion rights have become a political flashpoint since the court’s Dobbs ruling. It boosted enthusiasm and fundraising among Democrats and helped bolster them to better-than-expected finishes in the 2022 midterm elections.”

“‘REVIVAL IS HERE!’ From Beaches to Prisons, Hundreds of Salvations, Baptisms Reported Across US”…

“There’s a whole lot of baptism going on these days. As CBN News has reported, signs of revival have been ongoing around the U.S. since February when a spiritual awakening began at Asbury University.

Initially, the awakening seemed to mainly be happening among college students. But the latest evidence is being seen in the form of hundreds of salvations and baptisms at churches across the country in just the last two weeks alone, not to mention over the past two months.

From scores of souls being baptized at churches, to dozens being baptized at one prison, pastors across the U.S. are declaring that God is on the move.”

“Transgender swimming pioneer dismisses ‘biological advantage’ for trans female athletes, cites Michael Phelps”…

“Schuyler Bailar, the first openly transgender NCAA athlete who swam on the men’s team at Harvard University during the 2018-19 season, dismissed the argument that transgender female athletes have an advantage over biological females when it comes to sports.

Bailar hosted former University of Pennsylvania swimmer Lia Thomas on his “Dear Schuyler” podcast on Monday and in his closing monologue argued that the talk about biological differences in sports when it comes to men is celebrated but when it comes to women and transgender women it is policed and legislated. Bailar used Michael Phelps and Caster Semenya as his examples.”

“House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) issued the subpoenas on Monday, claiming the FBI “relied on at least one undercover agent to produce its analysis” and “proposed that its agents engage in outreach to Catholic parishes to develop sources among the clergy and church leadership to inform on Americans practicing their faith.”
