Christians are no better than Unbelievers.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Any Christian who believes they are better than an unbeliever because of their reformed behavior (repentance) is not being theologically honest with themselves. It is true that the Holy Spirit acts as our Counselor after salvation, and that should mark a difference in our lives going forward.

However, it was God’s provision that set our sins as far as the East is from the West (Psalm 103:12), not because we are better people after we are saved. We continue to sin and without ongoing forgiveness, our destiny would be the same as the rest of mankind. Believing by faith that Christ is our Lord and Savior washes the sins of believers, through the blood of Christ. Nonetheless, in warning both the crowds and his disciples, Jesus said, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted” (Matthew 23:12).

Romans 3:23 (“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”) is not limited to the lost.
