Consider doing earthly math on eternity.

The distractions of life easily get in the way of the true meaning of why believers remain earth-bound.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – I am 71 and was saved on April 15th, 1989. That means I have had 204k waking hours, 13,000 days, 1,800 weeks, 420 months 35 years to serve God. Only the Lord knows how many I have left.

A pastor, who was instrumental in the Lord’s efforts to drag me kicking and screaming to the cross, offered a process for keeping the ticking clock in the front of his mind. One Sunday he presented a sermon on the fragility of our lives, and the need to focus what little time we have on service to the Lord. Back at that time, we all used Daytimers and he marked the top left corner of every day with two numbers… the number of days he had spent since salvation, and the days he had left before a statistical estimate of his mortality. Time is fleeting.
