A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Knowing that the Holy Spirit is with us at all times and that He is guiding us, the only problem is that we are usually too busy to listen to Him. He loves us and desires not only to be a part of the big decisions but also more mundane aspects of our lives.
Case in point, I just completed some preventive treatment on my cheeks, as and they felt like I had severe sunburn. This morning I put some Vaseline on my shopping list and the plan was to do some shopping across town and then stop at Walmart to get the Vaseline and refrigerated food before returning home. I did not look forward to the prospect of having to wait for almost two hours for my Vaseline, but this schedule made the most sense to me at the time.
Then I accidentally exited on New Hope Rd from I87 and was ready to kick myself as I realized that I had just added another 5 to 10 minutes to my shopping spree. Just as I was beginning to sulk, I realized that this was a better choice, to go to Walmart first and that I should purchase just the Vaseline, wash my hands in the restroom room, and apply the Vaseline to my cheeks right there. Having my (spiritual) eyes opened, I could clearly see that the Holy Spirit let me make that mistake (of taking the wrong turn) and showed me the reason for the detour. Thank you, Lord!
