Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles
A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – When God opens a door in our lives, we always need to make sure He wants us to enter through it. There are rare instances where He wants us to look through, but not enter. And, there are other times when He wants us to walk through, but the experience will, in retrospect, not always be positive and reassuring. In those instances, God knows from eternity past what we are going to do with the decision, so it is not a test from His perspective, as if He is unsure regarding our decisions. Instead, He is using the experience to teach us something as part of the sanctification process. Though we may see it as a test from our shallow perspective, it is really a teaching moment.
“In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Petr 1:6-7)
