“Youth pastor, teacher among 46 arrested in North Texas prostitution sting”… A youth pastor. A high school teacher and football coach. And an operations director of a large hospital network. These were among the 46 men arrested in a massive undercover prostitution sting this month in Frisco and Southlake, local and federal authorities announced. Roughly a dozen law enforcement agencies participated in the operation Jan. 12 and 13 at the Hyatt near Stonebriar Centre in Frisco and the Hilton at Southlake Town Square. The men had arranged online to meet at the hotels intending to pay for sex, authorities said.” – Dallas News

‘Adult’ Scooby Doo reboot ‘Velma’ ripped by critics, audiences: ‘Where did everything go so horribly wrong?’… HBO Max has just released a reimagined spinoff of the popular, long-running kids show “Scooby-Doo.” Despite the association with the Hanna-Barbera original, it’s being marketed as “adult” and features limbs being severed, one of the main characters going to a strip club with her dad, and two teenage boys making out at their high school.” Fox News

Report: U.S. Is ‘Most Permissive Country’ for Minor Gender Transition…. “The United States is the most permissive country when it comes to the legal and medical gender transition of children,” according to a 12-country policy review by medical advocacy group Do No Harm. The group compared “different legal requirements for gender change-related treatments and actions” among the U.S. and the 11 countries of Northern and Western Europe. These countries — Belgium, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom — “share the United States’ broad support for transgenderism” yet “reject the gender-affirming care model for children.” – Washington Stand

Christianity in America is declining, but here’s why that gives this podcasting priest hope… “There’s something about that that is potentially hopeful,” Father Mike Schmitz told Fox News. “Because maybe for the first time in generations, we actually know where people are standing.” In 1990, 90% of U.S. adults raised Christian still identified that way in their 30s compared to just 65% in 2020, a September Pew Research Center poll found. Similarly, 31% of people over 30 who were raised Christian identified as religiously unaffiliated in 2020, compared to just 8% in 1990.” – Fox News

Worldwide Persecution of Christians Worst Ever, Now Rising in Sub-Saharan Africa…Open Doors released its 2023 World Watch list this week, and North Korea has returned to the top spot as the world’s worst persecutor of Christians. Worldwide, Christians are now facing more persecution or discrimination than ever. Although fewer Christians died for their faith in Christ last year, Christian persecution is increasing to the highest level ever reported. According to Open Doors, a ministry to the persecuted church, one in seven Christians worldwide now experience high levels of persecution or discrimination. – CBN News

More than 100 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have already been proposed this year… Over 100 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have already been filed in state legislatures in 2023. NBC News reported that the bills are concentrated in 22 states, with Texas leading the charge, followed by Missouri, North Dakota, and Oklahoma. Most of the bills target trans youth, but this year, some of them are also looking to restrict health care for trans adults.” – LGBTQ Nation
