Only those who see themselves as utterly destitute can fully appreciate the grace of God.

The lower our spirit is the higher His Spirit becomes in our lives.

Quick Quote – Source – Erwin Lutzer

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – We live in a country that celebrates self-reliance (or at least we did). It can therefore be hard to accept the fact that we need a Counselor (the Holy Spirit) in our daily lives, much less a Savior (Jesus Christ) as we prepare to face eternity.

The more we understand God through His word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers (sanctification) the more we realize how much we need Him and how bankrupt we are in dealing with our past, present, and future sin. If only the lost could see through our self-righteous false front and how destitute our spirit is, in desperate need of His Spirit.
