Our response to temptation is an accurate barometer of our love for God.

Our behavior demonstrates who we are attracted to.

Quick Quote – Source – Erwin Lutzer

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – In the book of Romans (Rom. 7:24) Paul laments his frustration over his desire to do what is right in God’s eyes, yet his body seems to follow the path of his sin nature. Lutzer is making the point that the more we focus on the Holy Spirit as our life coach the more we draw closer to God and His desires for our life and the farther away we move from our fleshly desires.

Galatians 5:16-17 – But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
