“Democrats Sympathize With Palestinians Over Israelis 49% to 38%”…

“A new surveyshows that Democrats’ sympathies towards Israel have shifted, with 49% of Democrats sympathizing with Palestinians vs. 38% who sympathize with Israelis. 

“Today’s attitudes reflect an 11-percentage-point increase over the past year in Democrats’ sympathy with the Palestinians,” reported Gallup.  “At the same time, the percentages sympathizing more with the Israelis (38%) and those not favoring a side (13%) have dipped to new lows.”

“Moscow is currently waging war against Ukraine while lawmakers are increasingly divided over sending additional aid to Kyiv. That division is more pronounced in the general public. President Joe Biden has offered diplomatic support for Ukraine will securing both funding and military supplies to aid in the war effort. The survey indicated that 45% approved of his approach while 47% disapproved.

The issue appears to fading from American priorities, as only 6% of respondents saw it as the paramount issue facing the U.S. while 29% chose inflation, 10% picked immigration, and another 10% said gun violence.”

“‘A Culture of Life’: Utah Bans Abortion Facilities Statewide”…

“The state of Utah will ban all abortion facilities from the state by requiring abortionists to meet the same quality standards as hospitals, a step abortion facilities call a backdoor ban on elective abortions.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) signed H.B. 467, introduced by Majority Assistant Whip Rep. Karianne Lisonbee (R-Clearfield), on Wednesday. The law prevents new abortion facilities from obtaining a license as of May 2, and bans abortions inside stand-alone abortion facilities beginning the first day of 2024.”

“January video of a Minnesota elementary school music teacher boasting about confusing students about gender is getting fresh scrutiny on social media after a story published online this week named the teacher in question.

Inside the Classroom shared a video on Twitter that had originally been posted on another platform by a music teacher from the St. Paul area. The teacher describes a conversation that she had with a co-worker, where students had allegedly asked “the other teacher” whether the music teacher was a boy or girl.”

“In wake of Florida law, additional states seek to restrict certain LGBTQ discussions in schools”…

“Bills similar to Florida’s controversial legislation that bans certain instruction about sexual orientation and gender identity in schools are being considered in at least 15 states, data compiled by the American Civil Liberties Union and reviewed by CNN shows.

Some of the bills go further than the Florida law, dubbed by its critics as “Don’t Say Gay,” which sparked a furious nationwide discussion about LGBTQ rights, education policy and parental involvement in the classroom.”

“Woman To Sue Hospital That Performed Sex Change Surgery On Her At 13″…

“Layla Jane, an 18-year-old who identified as transgender in adolescence before outgrowing it, plans to sue the hospital system and health care providers involved in her medical transition, according to a letter of intent from her attorneys.

Doctors administered cross-sex hormones and a double mastectomy to Jane at ages 12 to 13 without adequate evaluation or treatment of her mental health issues, according to the letter. Her attorneys at LiMandri and Jonna LLP are suing for damages related to a long list of physical harms allegedly caused by the medical transition, including mutilation, permanently deepened voice, increased facial and body hair, improperly developed sexual organs and possible infertility. “

“North Carolina bill increasing punishments for rioters will become law after no governor veto”…

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced Friday he would not use his veto stamp on a piece of legislation increasing penalties for rioters after he blocked a similar bill in 2021.

The GOP-controlled legislature sent the bill to the governor’s desk last Thursday after it passed with a bipartisan vote in the House and Senate. The Democratic governor had until Monday to sign or veto the bill, which was proposed following the nationwide riots in 2020 following the death of George Floyd.”
