Regardless of our current station in life, we need to be humble servants of Christ.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Humility comes from four places, (1) a recognition of our continuing sin nature in comparison to our God as illuminated in the Bible, (2) persecution from the lost that should keep our ego in check, (3) realizing that God has promised us Himself but not a release from pain, disease, and other hardships, (4) the expectation that God disciplines those He loves to bring us more in line with His will for our lives.

(1) Romans 7:24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

(2) 2 Timothy 3:12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

(3) John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

(4) Hebrews 12:6 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
and chastises every son whom he receives.”
