Teacher Says She Was Told to Mislead Parents About Kids’ Gender Identities, Now She’s Suing the School
“The complaint, filed by the Catholic law firm the Thomas More Society, states both West and Mirabelli sought and were ultimately denied religious accommodations that would have exempted them from having to comply with the school district’s policy, which, in addition to concealing information from parents, required educators to use students’ preferred pronouns, regardless of their biological makeup.
“Faced with EUSD’s immoral policies deceiving parents, both Mrs. Mirabelli and Mrs. West sought an accommodation that would allow them to act in the best interests of the children in their care — as required by their moral and religious convictions,” the court filing stated.”
A ‘Watershed’ Moment: Pornhub Blocks Access to Utah in Response to Age Verification Law
“In response to a Utah law set to go into effect Wednesday requiring pornography sites to verify the age of users in order to block access to minors, MindGeek, one of the world’s largest pornography companies, has blocked all Utahans from accessing their flagship site
Pornhub, along with a number of other porn sites owned by the company. In light of MindGeek’s move, experts are pointing to a potential sea change that could occur in internet safety for minors if more states follow Utah’s lead.
In March, Utah Governor Spencer Cox (R) signed SB 287 into law, a bill that requires “a commercial entity that provides pornography and other materials defined as being harmful to minors … to verify the age of individuals accessing the material.” The bill also stipulates that publishers and distributors of porn will be held liable if they do not comply with the requirements.”

“The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and the law firm Yetter Coleman LLP fired off a letter to officials with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) this week after the Joint Commission demanded earlier this year that Saint Francis Health System snuff out a candle that represents the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
The Joint Commission is an independent accrediting organization whose findings are often used to meet conditions for Medicaid and Medicare certification with the HHS-affiliated Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).”

The liberal Presbyterian Church (USA) (PCUSA) went from approximately 1.193 million members to approximately 1.14 million members over the past year, while the number of member churches declined from 8,813 in 2021 to 8,705, according to the data.
The numbers mark a steep drop from when the denomination boasted nearly 2.5 million members in 2000.”
