The command to submit is fundamental to both salvation and sanctification.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Scripture documents God’s grace to forgive our sins if we will repent and follow Him. Salvation results from a sincere desire to be forgiven as an initial act of submission and recognition that He is both our Savior and Lord (Eph. 2:8-9, Rom 10:9). Sanctification is a continuing desire to submit and learn from Him through His Word, the Bible. Mankind sees “submission” as a form of weakness and therefore something to be avoided. What we miss is that our submission is not to a peer, but to the Creator of the universe.
