A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – In the past my wife and I have spent summers in Alaska, looking out over the ocean at sea lions competing for space on a small channel marker buoy. They push and shove each other for dominance and the right to sit on the top of the buoy, bellowing at each other throughout the day.
Every morning and really every minute of every day Christians struggle with the question, who is on the throne of our lives? The reality is that control rarely holds for very long as our sinful nature battles with the Holy Spirit. Sadly, there are even times when the Spirit appears to win and we “do the right thing”, yet for the wrong motives. The “Good News” is that we may be confused about the battles, but we are confident about who has won the war!
