Daily Headlines on contemporary issues that run counter to a Biblical Christian worldview.

| Elections | Book Censorship | Puberty Blockers | Prayer |

Elections – AP – “As midterms near, clergy preach politics and civics lessons… Across America, faith leaders have squeezed in some final messages about the midterm elections during their worship services this weekend. Some passionately took stands on divisive issues such as immigration and abortion; others pleaded for an easing of the political polarization fracturing their communities and their nation.”

Book Censorship Rejected – The Washington Stand – Penguin Random House rejected a demand to cancel a book deal with Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett. Over 700 employees in the publishing world have signed an open letter urging the publishing giant to cancel the book deal, first reported in 2021, for her decision this summer to overturn Roe v. Wade. But, in another sign that the woke mob is losing its leverage, Penguin Random House refused to cave.

Puberty Blockers – Fox News – “Florida medical boards approve ban on puberty blockers, transgender surgeries for minors… The Florida Board of Medicine and the Florida Board of Osteopathic Medicine approved the rule prohibiting minors from receiving puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and transgender surgery after Florida Surgeon General Joseph A. Ladapo asked the Board of Medicine in June to establish a standard of care for such “complex and irreversible procedures.””

Prayer – Fox News – “Prayer — are you doing it all wrong? Portland pastor reveals how to talk to God honestly… Prayer is difficult even for committed Christians, he told Fox News Digital in a recent phone interview… Staton said he believes that bringing conflicting thoughts, emotions and even anger to God in prayer leads to a deeper relationship with him.”
