We can “love our neighbor” and still “love God” by placing evangelism above legalism.

Quick Quote – Source – Jeff Hilles

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – The Lord called us to do both in what the Bible refers to as the greatest commandment, listed in all three gospel accounts (Matthew, Mark and Luke).

Mark 12:30-31 – And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no other commandment greater than these.”

We can accomplish those commands simultaneously, in nearly all cases by placing love of our neighbor above our desire to “fix” or “correct” people. It is only when given no other option in a challenge to our Christian worldview that we must respond respectfully, submissively and kindly with Biblical truth.
