Daily Headlines on contemporary issues that run counter to a Biblical Christian worldview.

Charted: 2022’s year of upheaval… Inflation, immigration and the Supreme Court consistently held Americans’ interest over the course of a year in which most news cycles — from Will Smith’s Oscars slap to monkeypox to the death of Queen Elizabeth — burned hot and fast.” – Axios

What Biden’s woke military has wrought… Social experimentation in the military has life and death consequences… The U.S. military should be the ultimate meritocracy – nothing matters on the battlefield other than training, leadership, and the trust between fellow soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines. Unfortunately, recent Democrat administrations – and Joe Biden’s is no exception – have made race, gender, and controversial political teachings an integral part of military training and values, from the Pentagon to our service academies. But unlike college campuses, elite boardrooms, and Hollywood movies, social experimentation in the military has life and death consequences, not to mention repercussions for troop morale and recruitment. That’s incredibly dangerous, especially as we face rising threats from China, Russia, and other global adversaries.” – Fox News

18 LGBTQ+ Words added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2022…Topping from the bottom is now in the Oxford English Dictionary. Anything is possible in 2023…. Language is constantly evolving and dictionaries are always trying to capture the latest additions to how we communicate. Queer language moves quickly and the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) managed to include several new LGBTQ+ entries (including “LGBTQ” itself) this year. You may be surprised at the slang that made it into such a fancy institution and how they chose to define words that mean so many different things to so many different people.” LGBTQ Nation

Report: California is one of the least charitable states despite being one of wealthiest… It turns out that California is one of the least charitable states in the union… When it comes to charitability, California ranks near the bottom among the 50 states, according to the World Giving Index created by WalletHub… California ranks 42nd among the 50 states in this year‘s rankings. It follows the trend of some border states faring poorly, including Arizona (50th), and New Mexico (48th). While a few border states were near the bottom, the top three most generous states in the ranking are in different parts of the country. Utah was ranked first, followed by Maryland and Minnesota.” – The Center Square
