About a month ago I realized I didn’t have any purpose of my own. I came to the conclusion that if I didn’t come up with a good solution then there wasn’t a reason to exist. I had to forget the lies and remember the truth. Going through life without a purpose, convinced you don’t have anything to contribute, results in a meaningless existence. With that, you have to reconcile your options.
You can continue to float through life and try to find some satisfaction in small things, but never being quenched you’re destined to keep searching. The second option is death, to put an end to your searching but there is a severe price to pay for those who give up. You give up all chance at the hope of finding your purpose and leave your loved ones with sadness in their hearts. If you give up, you forfeit the pursuit of purpose. Finally, the third option is to call on the only One who can take your burdens and give you life.
There is a reason they call Him the Lord and Savior. He is the King of all creation. Heaven is where He sits on His throne and earth is His footstool. He is the Savior who gives life and life more abundantly. He has created everything with a good purpose because of His perfect character. He carved the world and sculpted you with love and meaning in mind. When we cannot continue to carry our heaviness He is there to take it from us and in return give true peace.
The Prince of Peace is Jesus Christ. He is our friend, our companion, our teacher, our master, and our love. He fixes all things with His mighty grace. His hand sweeps through, bringing life and not death. His hand upholds us through all the trials and trouble we may face. When we call upon the name of Jesus Christ we are saved. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confess with your mouth that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
Our troubles end where He begins. If there is a despair in your life call out to Him and ask for His help. When we are weak He is strong. There is no greater peace than knowing the Creator and King is on your side.
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
Peace be with you,
Donald
