When you say, ‘Doctrine doesn’t matter; what matters is that you live a good life,’ that is a doctrine.

Quick Quote – Source – Tim Keller

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective – Keller goes on, “It is called the doctrine of salvation by your works rather than by grace.”

We live in a gray world full of sin and confusion, unsure of the answers to many of life’s questions. However, at the end of our lives, there will be a transition to one of only two extremes, Heaven and Hell. Our journey and eventual resting place will be dependent on the doctrine of Salvation. Choosing to rely on our own efforts at being a good enough person, puts us at odds with God, who demands perfection. One can reject the unfairness of that reality, but a wiser choice would be to accept His love and grace instead.
